Bay Cities is an active member of The International Corrugated Packaging Foundation
(ICPF), an industry-led philanthropic organization dedicated to building a knowledgeable
workforce for the corrugated packaging industry. With headquarters in Alexandria,
Virginia, ICPF is co-sponsored by the industry’s two trade associations,
the Association of Independent Corrugated Converters (AICC) and the Fibre Box
Association.
Bay Cities is also a sponsor of the Cal Poly Packaging
Association at the California Polytechnic State University, and conducts
design contests and other educational events in affiliation with the
university. We believe that to be a true expert-in-the-field we should
teach our expertise along the way. It keeps us sharp, and in the mix
to learn from the experience of others. Teamwork goes beyond Bay Cities.
Visual Vitals
The days of mass media such as TV advertising are over, according to Larry Light,
Global Chief Marketing Officer of McDonald’s. Bay Cities is at the leading
edge of the new media. To educate, share experiences and do our part in elevating
our industry to new levels of quality and success, Bay Cities frequently hosts
Visual Vitals, a series of seminars led by industry veterans and open to anyone
interested in better communication through packaging graphics. Topics and exercises
include: the fundamentals of a winning packaging design; how to evaluate your
packaging and develop new designs; simulated walks through major retail stores
searching for “the good, the bad and the ugly”; and methods for
profiting from visual marketing and graphics.
Our goal is to be a leading education resource in
our industry. Please contact us for an invitation to our next event.
